Strangers on a Train
Yesterday I had to travel from Carnoustie to Elgin via train to collect my repaired (not actually repaired it turns out) van.
In my carriage I was lucky to meet some passengers, with children and grand children. I decided before leaving for the train to take some copies of Caterpillars CANNOT FLY! with me just in case there were any children on the train.
At one of the stops between Aberdeen and Elgin a lady boarded the train with a little girl and sat behind me. I offered a book and explained my situation, and the gentleman sitting on the other side of the walkway over heard and I offered him a book also.
We ended up chatting until we all departed from the train at different stops, but I wont forget the company. It really was the most pleasant train journey I have ever had (I have not been on the train much though :P)
