More difficult than I would have expected…
I am well and truly started with regards to the Caterpillars CANNOT FLY! animation that I am working on (between kids clubs and daddy DIY of course :P) and although I have only recently managed to make time I am finding it challenging but thoroughly enjoyable. Getting Calvin to run down hill is fairly easy – but I am not Pixar… and nor do I want to be therefore it is not perfect which is exactly the way I want it. The hardest part in this scene in particular (page 6) was getting him to run down in 2 separate sections then tumble… I had the calculator out on many occasions to work out the X & Y but the result at the moment is perfectly fine with me as I really wanted to keep the animation in line with the book with regards to illustrations and graphics. I hope you guys enjoy the work that has gone into page 6 alone in this animation… hopefully its all downhill from now 🙂 You can watch the 20 second clip below, and this will not be the final audio… much to do, much to do 🙂
