My Journey

Richard Watterson Author & IllustratorI started writing my first book in 2019, I was on a 6 hour drive and the idea just came into my head.  When driving I was lucky enough to have a few hours of peace and quiet (no music... through choice!), just the drone of the tyres on the road and the occasional squeak here and there.  Twice a week my work takes me on a 6 hour round trip so once the idea was in my head I couldn't stop thinking about it.  Having a phone handy meant I could take notes during stop breaks and over the next 6 months the story came together.  It took me around 18 months from initial idea, to print.  Read more here.
